BIOGRAPHY
Andrea Falvo is a professionally trained vocalist/pianist with a smooth alto voice. Falvo can play and sing any style of music, but focuses on jazz and bossa nova standards, show tunes, and a variety of pop tunes. She is also available for weddings and other events in which classical vocal repertoire is preferred. Andrea holds both bachelor and master’s degrees from Syracuse University in music and music education with concentrations in voice and piano. She was an adjunct jazz piano instructor and co-director of the Syracuse University vocal jazz ensemble, Windjammer. Falvo has been the cantor at St. John the Baptist Church in Rome, NY for over twenty years. Andrea was a vocal music teacher in the Rome City school for eight years before becoming the Director of Fine Arts for the district until 2019. She released a self-titled album on jazz standards in 2004 which featured an all-star line- up of musicians including Bill DiCosimo, Joe Ferlo, Jimmy Johns, Mike Solazzo, and Dr. David Blask with mastering done by Rick Montalbano. She is also the lead singer/pianist of Encore, which is her newly formed trio with guitarist/vocalist Christian Arthur and drummer Corey Colmey.
